Leofric Worlledge was born on the 14th August 1895 in India, the son of Colonel John Franklin Worlledge and his wife Lilias. In 1901 they were living at 4 Border Crescent Road, Bromley, Kent.
He joined the Royal Marines on the 30th September 1914. On the 2nd November he was discharged from the Marines because he had been nominated to the Kings Indian Cadetship. He was described as 5ft 7 ½ ins tall, of dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes.
No details of his war service are known but there are numerous passenger list records of him travelling to India with the rank of army captain.
He married Eileen Saxon on the 19th July 1924 in Agra India.
He died in 1982 in Truro, Cornwell.
Although we have all this information on Leofric, we have yet to discover any connection with Mackworth.
